Three of Four Indices Still Sit Below Their Own AVWAP Resets. I'm Traveling This Week — Watch the Close.

The Dow, Russell 2000 and Nasdaq 100 all closed Monday's session back below their most recent AVWAP anchors — not through them. Only the S&P 500 still holds the bullish read, and even that's thin. I'm off the desk this week with no fresh intraday updates, so tonight's brief is short and does one job: give you the exact levels to watch on the indices while I'm gone. Back next week with video and trading calls.

The One-Paragraph Read

Breadth thinned into Monday's close. The Dow, Russell 2000 and Nasdaq 100 all now read DISTRIBUTION (equities and risk assets losing quality beneath the surface) with the Transition layer deteriorating on every one of them. Only the S&P 500 still holds INFLATIONARY PUMP, and it's a thin read — Conf 2. Every AVWAP reclaim attempt (institutional volume-weighted price reset) across those three indices closed back below the anchor Monday night, not through it. With no fresh intraday updates from me this week, the single number that matters for every index below is whether that AVWAP level gets accepted or rejected on the next close. Nasdaq carries the sharpest signal of the four — Conf 9 confirmed across two timeframes, the strongest single read on the board tonight.

AVWAP Acceptance Watch — The Only Job This Week

I won't be at a screen to confirm these live. Check each level against the close before you lean on it either way.

Indices & Majors — Exact Levels
BELOW ANCHORDow (US30): $52,430 — sitting below its July 9 AVWAP reset (~$52,650). A close back above $52,650 fades Distribution here. A close below $52,250 (prior-day low) confirms it continues.
BELOW ANCHORRussell 2000: 2,951 — below its early-July AVWAP reset (~2,997). A close above 2,997 fades Distribution. A break of 2,940 (the recent oversold-snapback low) confirms continuation lower. Weakest index on the board.
BELOW ANCHORNasdaq 100 (US100): 29,201 — below its AVWAP reset (~29,800) and under a 29,400–29,600 institutional convergence zone. Strongest signal tonight: Conf 9 (2F). Reclaiming that zone is needed to flip this. A break of 28,600 confirms continuation lower.
HOLDOUTS&P 500: $7,516 — no AVWAP retest in play right now. Cleanest of the four, still the lone bullish read, but Conf is only 2 — thin. Watch it hold above roughly $7,460.
COIN-FLIPBitcoin: $62,178 — sitting almost exactly on VWAP (-0.05% dev), directly between its $63,200 and $61,000 anchors. Whichever side it closes on tells you where risk wants to go.
COIN-FLIPSolana: $75.16 — also glued to VWAP (+0.01% dev). Bond-equity correlation just flagged a Stress Recovery reading — worth watching. Same test as Bitcoin: acceptance above or below the anchor decides it.
Read this before anything else: nothing above is a trade signal. It's a checklist. Three unconfirmed AVWAP resets and two coin-flip anchors is exactly the kind of board where chasing a wick gets you trapped. Wait for the close.
Chart Analysis — The Standout
Nasdaq 100 (US100) — 4H · Pepperstone
BEARISH Conf 9 (2F) — strongest read tonight
29,201.5
This is the one worth watching most closely while I'm away. Confidence is confirmed across two timeframes at 9 out of a possible high mark — the strongest single signal anywhere on tonight's board. Price is trading well under the AVWAP reset from early July and sitting beneath an institutional convergence zone flagged at 80% strength between 29,400 and 29,600 — that zone is resistance until proven otherwise.

I'm traveling starting tomorrow and won't have fresh intraday reads until I'm back. Everything above is the last clean structural picture — check each AVWAP level against a live close before you lean on it. Back next week with video and trading calls.
Cantillon Synthesis

Breadth thinned, not broke. Three of four major indices — Dow, Russell 2000, Nasdaq — closed Monday below their own AVWAP resets, and all three carry a deteriorating Transition read. The S&P 500 is the lone holdout, still printing INFLATIONARY PUMP, but on a thin Conf 2 that wouldn't survive much more pressure. Bitcoin and Solana are both sitting almost exactly on their own VWAP anchors — genuine coin-flip zones rather than confirmed reads in either direction.

Nasdaq is the one to watch first if you only have time for one chart this week — Conf 9 confirmed across two timeframes is the strongest single signal on the board, and it's sitting under a well-defined institutional convergence zone at 29,400–29,600. A reclaim of that zone would be the first real crack in this week's Distribution read; a break of 28,600 would confirm it instead.

Three indices below their own AVWAP resets, two majors sitting exactly on VWAP — this week is entirely about which side of the close each one lands on. I'll see the answer with you next week.
Data reflects the 4H close as of Monday, July 13, 2026, ~22:19 CET (Cantillon Research is off the desk this week — verify every level above against a live close before acting). This brief is for informational and educational purposes only. Not financial advice.
