Democrats took Congress and the Dow had its best day since April 2025, but 52 of the 74 large stocks we track fell. Healthpeak long leads a three-name board, all half size. The number is the S&P 500 line at 7,680.
| Buy | Healthpeak long, half size. A tier-3 buy took it back over its cost line two days after it raised guidance. |
| Buy | STAG Industrial long, half size, once a four-hour bar closes over its line. Premarket sits a cent under it. |
| Wait | Meta short only on a four-hour close back under its line. Premarket is over it, so nothing yet. |
| Hold | Tesla short stays on after a 3.3% drop. The S&P 500 closed back over yesterday’s number. |
| Skip | Sarepta reports tonight and TDS tomorrow. Both had live setups. Neither is held through a report. |
With Democrats confirmed in control of both chambers, the Dow rose 1,569 points, or 3.03%, to 53,356.12, its best day since April 2025. The S&P 500 added 1.58% to 7,688.62 and the Nasdaq 1.44%. US crude fell more than 8% to $88.12, so energy was the worst sector at −4.8% while consumer discretionary gained 4.3%.
The stock charts read Accumulation at −5 of 10.5, two points weaker than yesterday on the Dow’s best day in 19 months, and the terminal calls the trend deteriorating. Two of three layers are off, so every trade on the board is half size.
| Charts | Reading | What it means this morning |
|---|---|---|
| Stocks Wednesday close | Accumulation · −5 | Money on, stocks and risk appetite off. Longs keep +2 of tailwind. |
| Indices and crypto Live feeds | Late cycle · −1 | Risk appetite back on with Bitcoin over its line. The tailwind becomes −1, so index longs get no help from the regime. |
Of the 74 large stocks we track, 22 rose and 52 fell on Wednesday while the Dow gained 3%. The McClellan oscillator held at −158.4 and the summation index turned negative at −106, from +215. Only 29.7% sit above their 50-day average. The breadth panel on the charts, built on a wider list, reads confirming at +7 of 8. A rally carried by a few heavyweights is why the board stays at half size.

Yesterday’s number was 7,679 and the rally closed the gap: the cash index finished at 7,688.62 and the CFD is at 7,690.20. The line is now the floor. Four-hour closes over it keep the index over what large money paid this swing. A close back under it, with 52 of 74 stocks already falling, opens the window edge at 7,526.
The first four-hour bar after the US open closes at 19:30 CET, so you can check this against the tape today. It is a CFD level and your futures contract will differ. The stock levels are on the members’ side.

Cost line (the anchor) · the volume-weighted price large money actually paid over the current swing. Everything in this brief is measured as distance from it. Buy near it and you are paying what they paid. Buy far above it and you are paying their profit. Entry window · how far from the cost line a new entry can still be sensibly priced. Inside it, the entry is fairly priced. Past it, the move has already run and you wait for a pullback. Compression · how tightly the range has wound, from 0 to 100%. High means the next move should be a big one. It says nothing about direction, and it never overrides a shut window. Confirmation · how many independent readings agree, and across how many timeframes. Higher on both counts is better. Record · the average result per past signal in units of risk, where being stopped out is exactly −1.00, printed with the number of finished signals behind it. It is measured over the same history the settings were chosen on, so it describes the past and forecasts nothing. Trend light · a summary of how the chart’s recent signals have worked out: green, amber or red. It is history, not a gate. Entries come from the cost line, the window, the signal and the close. Size comes from the regime.
Readings captured Thursday 5 November 2026 from the IVT v14.6 terminal on four-hour bars between 09:46 and 09:52 CET. Stock readings reflect Wednesday’s close. A cross of the cost line counts only on a four-hour close. Index levels are live CFD feeds and differ from the cash index and your futures contract. The US is on standard time, so exchanges open at 15:30 CET and the first four-hour bar after the open closes at 19:30 CET. Cost lines and window edges are derived from the terminal’s published percentage distances. Support, resistance and range levels are read off the chart and are approximate. Record rows on the charts are for reference only and do not set entries or size.
Sarepta reports after Thursday’s close and TDS on Friday. Do not hold a four-hour trade through a report.
