One Long Fired. Seventeen Charts Say Wait.

One chart pays this morning. EnerSys closed through Tuesday's trigger and stays a half-size long. Everything else is wait or skip. The Dow fell 3.2% under the price large money paid, and a bounce to 51,318 is where its short window reopens. Bonds are falling with stocks, so a Treasury hedge covers little.

HalfENS long, half size. Tuesday's trigger closed through on Wednesday and price is still inside its entry window.
WaitCF. Not on this morning's captures, and Tuesday's trigger never filled. No position until it does.
WaitUS30. Fell out of its short window overnight. The number that reopens it is free, below.
SkipCEVA. The only other amber light, a short, but the volume on its own chart leans to buyers.
AvoidSPCX, the strongest chart on the scan with a record panel that returns an error. MSTR, whose record runs −.30R to −.01R over 64 signals.
Market Update
Soft Inflation, Harder Bonds

August's core PCE inflation ran 3.0% a year against 3.3% expected, and the 10-year Treasury yield still printed 5.306%, its highest since June 2007. Odds of an October 28 hike fell to 38% from 50%: the front end listened, the long end did not. The Dow lost 0.9% to 50,906 and the S&P 500 closed a losing September at 7,651.54.

Stocks and risk still on, bonds still off. But strength slipped to +1 of 10.5 on every capture, from +3 on Wednesday morning, one step from flat. Bonds and stocks move together at 0.52 on single names and up to 0.73 on the Russell, so size for one book, not two.

Falling, panel hiddenThe terminal panel did not render on either capture, so no window and no light are published for them today. The S&P CFD reads 7,665.03, down 0.66%. The Nasdaq reads 30,562.4, down 0.93%.

RUSSELL, US30
Bearish, out of windowThe Dow went from 1.49% under cost to 3.21% under in one session, red and fading. The Russell sits 4.61% under with its oversold-snapback signal active. Shorting either here sells the low.

The terminal's broad-market panel reads Diverging, −7 of 8 on the stock charts and −8 on the index charts. Only 20.9% of stocks sit above their 50-day average, down from 24.7% on Wednesday, and 40.6% above their 200-day, down from 43.1%. The McClellan oscillator fell to −41.4 from −29.4. The regime says stocks are on. Four in five of them are below their 50-day. Nothing on the Board goes above half size.

One name, so watch EnerSys. CEVA, the only other amber, has the better record at +.10R over 66 signals, but its range dips to −.02 and the volume on its chart leans 18% to buyers, which is the wrong side for a short.

51,318

The Dow's cost line sits at 52,365. The cash CFD reads 50,683, 3.21% under it, which leaves it 635 points below the bottom of its 2% entry window. On Wednesday morning it was 1.49% under and inside. Red and fading, 9.9 points from turning, record −.10R over 46 signals. A bounce to 51,318 reopens the short window. The light decides whether anything gets taken there.

You can check this one against the tape yourself, which is why it sits on the free side of the gate. The EnerSys levels do not.

What The Words Mean

Cost line (the anchor) · the volume-weighted price large money actually paid over the current swing. Everything in this brief is measured as distance from it. Buy near it and you are paying what they paid. Buy far above it and you are paying their profit.  Entry band · how far from the cost line a new entry can still be sensibly priced. Inside it, the entry is fairly priced. Past it, the move has already run and you wait for a pullback.  Compression · how tightly the range has wound, from 0 to 100%. High means the next move should be a big one. It says nothing about direction, and it never overrides a shut entry band.  Confirmation · how many independent readings agree, and across how many timeframes. Higher on both counts is better. Two timeframes at 6 beats one timeframe at 8.  Record · the average result per signal in units of risk, where being stopped out is exactly −1.00. Always published with the number of finished signals behind it. It is measured over the same history the settings were chosen on, so read it as a description of the past and not a forecast. Below 20 finished signals no rate is published at all.  Trend light · green means full size, amber means half, red means no new entry however good the chart looks. The cushion is how close the light is to changing.

Readings captured Thursday 1 October 2026 between 10:25 and 10:38 CEST from the IVT v14.4 terminal, on four-hour bars that had not yet closed. US exchanges open at 15:30 CEST, so no trigger on a US-listed chart can fire before then, and September payrolls print an hour earlier on Friday. Cost lines and window edges are derived from the terminal's published percentage distances. Index levels come from CFD feeds and will differ from your futures contract. ABB is quoted in Swiss francs.

Records are in-sample and forecast nothing. No rate is published on fewer than twenty finished signals, and the sample size is printed beside every one.
