28 four-hour charts this morning, up from 14, and the wider net found the two best setups. RBC Bearings is the short: green light, and a cost line crossed once in 125 bars a side. STMicro is the second short, green and back under its line. CF Industries is the long, nine readings agreeing on three frames. September CPI lands at 14:30 CEST. RBC’s window edge at $508.95 is the number.

September consumer prices land at 8:30 New York time, one hour before the open. Forecasts put headline inflation at 3.6% to 3.7% a year, up from 3.4% in August, with core near 0.2% for the month. It is the last print before the Fed decides on October 28, a month after it raised rates to 3.75%–4.00%.
The scan no longer starts from a fixed list. A nightly pass runs about 1,400 liquid US stocks through the same four-hour engine and keeps up to 200 that sit in or near their entry window. From tonight’s close, every four-hour board on /scan reads the Liquid 100 plus that shortlist, up to 300 charts per close, with wide-scan names tagged SCAN. This morning’s brief reads 28 charts, twice Tuesday’s 14. RBC Bearings, STMicro and CF Industries, the top three on today’s Board, are all outside the Liquid 100.
Distribution for a fourth straight session: stocks on, bonds and risk appetite off, transition stable. Strength reads +4 of 10.5 on the stock charts and +5 on the indices, up from +3. Single stocks still read bonds and stocks moving together at 0.51, over the 0.35 line where the terminal treats them as one trade. The index charts read −0.25. Longs carry a 1-point headwind, so both longs on the Board are half size.

Thirteen charts on this scan carry a pre-market or overnight print, and none of them crossed its cost line. STMicro came closest, bouncing back almost onto its line. Same side of the line as Tuesday’s close: trade as written. With CPI an hour before the open, every entry is judged on the first four-hour close after it, at 19:30 CEST. Every pre-market price against its cost line is in the members’ half.

RBC closed Tuesday at $510.31, $1.36 above the edge. At $508.95 or higher the short qualifies at full size. Below it, you are selling a drop that has already happened.
You can check this against the tape yourself, which is why it sits on the free side of the gate. The exit and the targets do not.

Cost line (the anchor) · the volume-weighted price large money actually paid over the current swing. Everything in this brief is measured as distance from it. Buy near it and you are paying what they paid. Buy far above it and you are paying their profit. Entry window · how far from the cost line a new entry can still be sensibly priced. Inside it, the entry is fairly priced. Past it, the move has already run and you wait for a pullback. Compression · how tightly the range has wound, from 0 to 100%. High means the next move should be a big one. It says nothing about direction, and it never overrides a shut window. Confirmation · how many independent readings agree, and across how many timeframes. Higher on both counts is better. Record · the average result per signal in units of risk, where being stopped out is exactly −1.00. Always published with the number of finished signals behind it, and measured over the same history the settings were chosen on. Below 20 finished signals no rate is published. A short record is not a verdict on the chart, only on what can be measured yet. Trend light · green means full size, amber means half, red means no new entry however good the chart looks. A chart with no light yet, because its record is still being built, is sized at half. The cushion is how close the light is to changing. SCAN · a name that reached the board through the nightly wide scan of about 1,400 liquid US stocks rather than the Liquid 100.
Readings captured Wednesday 14 October 2026 between 09:49 and 10:10 CEST from the IVT v14.4 terminal, on four-hour bars. Prices marked pre-market or overnight are extended-hours prints. US exchanges open at 15:30 CEST and September CPI is released at 14:30 CEST. Cost lines and window edges are derived from the terminal’s published percentage distances. Index levels are CFD feeds and differ from the cash index and your futures contract. Support and resistance levels are read off the chart and are approximate.
Records are in-sample and forecast nothing. No rate is published on fewer than twenty finished signals, and the sample size is printed beside every one. BlackRock reports this morning and Schwab Thursday. Check RBC Bearings’, STMicro’s and CF Industries’ report dates before holding through one.
