One Green Light. It Says Sell.

One chart out of 32 gets a green light this morning, and it is a short. RBC Bearings climbed nearly 10% off its September low, back toward the price large money paid, and the terminal says sell it at full size. Copper waits for a breakout at half size. The S&P 500's buy window tops out at 7,706.

SellRBC short, full size. The only green light on the scan, and price is already inside its entry window.
BuyCopper long, half size, on a breakout close. Wound to 95% on its cost line.
SellVPG short, half size. It rallied straight back up into the price large money paid.
WaitUSDJPY. Friday's trigger never filled, payrolls or not. Same trigger, new exit.
AvoidAll four US indices. Four red lights, and all four sit outside their windows.
Market Update
Jobs Missed, Bonds Shrugged

September added 29,000 jobs, about a third of the forecast, unemployment rose to 4.2%, and July and August were cut by 60,000 combined. Odds of an October rate hike fell to 20% from 64% a week earlier, and the S&P 500 gained 0.73% to 7,722.72. The 10-year yield dipped to 5.18% intraday and still closed up at 5.28%. That is why the bond layer on the terminal stays off this morning.

Stocks and risk on, bonds off, same as Friday. What changed is the tailwind for longs, down to zero from +1, because the fear reading moved from low to neutral at the same level of 16. Bonds and stocks still move together at 0.59 to 0.69, so a Treasury hedge covers little.

If you watch one, watch RBC. Natural gas is the only other chart whose record range stays at or above zero, but it sits under an amber light on a choppy cost line. RBC is the only chart on the page cleared for full size.

S&P 500 · The Window Edge
7,706

The S&P 500's cost line sits at 7,555. The cash CFD reads 7,725.83, 2.26% above it, which leaves it 20 points over the top of its 2% buy window. The range is wound to 69% and two timeframes agree at confirmation 7. A dip to 7,706 puts it back inside the window. The light is red and improving, 12.2 points from turning, record −.12R over 26 signals, so nothing gets bought there until it changes.

You can check this against the tape yourself, which is why it sits on the free side of the gate. The RBC levels do not.

What The Words Mean

Cost line (the anchor) · the volume-weighted price large money actually paid over the current swing. Everything in this brief is measured as distance from it. Buy near it and you are paying what they paid. Buy far above it and you are paying their profit.  Entry window · how far from the cost line a new entry can still be sensibly priced. Inside it, the entry is fairly priced. Past it, the move has already run and you wait for a pullback.  Compression · how tightly the range has wound, from 0 to 100%. High means the next move should be a big one. It says nothing about direction, and it never overrides a shut window.  Confirmation · how many independent readings agree, and across how many timeframes. Higher on both counts is better.  Record · the average result per signal in units of risk, where being stopped out is exactly −1.00. Always published with the number of finished signals behind it, and measured over the same history the settings were chosen on. Below 20 finished signals no rate is published. A short record is not a verdict on the chart, only on what can be measured yet.  Trend light · green means full size, amber means half, red means no new entry however good the chart looks. A chart with no light yet, because its record is still being built, is sized at half. The cushion is how close the light is to changing.

Readings captured Monday 5 October 2026 between 10:08 and 10:23 CEST from the IVT v14.4 terminal, on four-hour bars that had not yet closed. US exchanges open at 15:30 CEST and ISM services prints at 16:00 CEST. Cost lines and window edges are derived from the terminal's published percentage distances. Index levels come from CFD feeds and will differ from your futures contract. Copper is the COMEX December contract in dollars per pound.

Records are in-sample and forecast nothing. No rate is published on fewer than twenty finished signals, and the sample size is printed beside every one.
