The only green light in the scan belongs to a battery maker. EnerSys is the single instrument here carrying a full size, and it is running out of window. The two loudest charts on the page, Astera Labs at a coiled spring and Circle at the highest signal tier awarded today, have ten finished signals between them and carry nothing. The number that decides the session is 180.87.
August producer prices came in at +0.4% on the month and +5.4% over the year, and the composition is the problem: diesel jumped 24.1% in a single month and accounted for more than a third of the goods increase. That is energy pushing pipeline inflation straight into the consumer number. The federal funds range has sat at 3.50 to 3.75% since December and the market now prices roughly 63 to 70% odds of a quarter-point hike at the September 15–16 meeting. Bonds have already traded it. The 20-year-plus Treasury fund closed at 81.16, its lowest since May 2004, with the 30-year yield at 5.30 to 5.35% and the 10-year at 4.97%. Equities fell a fourth straight session: the S&P 500 at 7,591.70, the Dow at 52,064, the Nasdaq Composite at 26,081.72, the Russell 2000 off 1.1%, and the VIX up 8.6% to 17.88. August CPI lands today at 08:30 Eastern, consensus +0.4% headline and +0.2% core. Every level below was measured before that print.
The cycle score is −2 of 10.5 with only the risk leg on, so no long on this page is sized off the regime and every one of them is a chart trade taken against it. Now the caveat, and it is bigger than usual today. The twelve captures carry two different regime blocks. The six US-listed single names print what the chips above show. The six round-the-clock instruments, the four index CFDs plus gold and dogecoin, print full risk-off at −3 of 10.5 with all three legs down, the macro tailwind at −3 rather than −1, and the bond-versus-stock correlation at stress recovery 0.65 against 0.34. Same engine, same three proxies, different bar clock. Both readings are in the brief unedited. The harsher one belongs to the instruments that trade through the CPI print at 08:30, and nothing in either turns a red light green.
The breadth strip runs when it argues with the regime, and this morning it argues by refusing to break. Participation held even at a ratio of 1.06 to 1 while price fell a fourth straight session, which is the whole case. These are last night's closing figures across our own scan universe rather than the S&P 500, so read them as a description of who is taking part.
| Reading | Cantillon universe | What it says |
|---|---|---|
| Advancing versus declining | +2 net, 38 advancing | Dead even at a ratio of 1.06 to 1, on a down day |
| Cumulative advance-decline line | +924 | Down from +1,086 last Friday, so it is giving ground slowly |
| McClellan oscillator | +0.1 | Exactly neutral. Short-horizon participation is neither expanding nor contracting |
| Summation index | +11,704 | The structural version, and it is fractionally higher than a week ago |
| Above the 50-day line | 51.4% | Was 63.5% last Friday. Twelve points of short-term damage in five sessions |
| Above the 200-day line | 67.6% | Was 71.6%. The structural reading is holding up far better than the short one |
The terminal's own banner reads breadth recovery, breadth improving against price, and on a one-day view that is correct. Across the week it is not: the short-term line fell from 63.5% to 51.4% while the structural line only gave back four points, which puts the selling into trend followers rather than into the trend itself. It reopens no shut window and it turns no red light green.
Every reading here came off a four-hour bar that had not closed, and five of the twelve charts carry the terminal's own pre-market print beside it. Those two prices are not the same trade. A gap moves price away from the cost line before you can act, and this morning it kills one setup outright and nearly shuts another. The implied column is arithmetic on the terminal's last price and its published deviation, not a field the terminal prints.
| Name | Close · deviation | Pre-market · implied | What it does to the window |
|---|---|---|---|
| CRCL | 90.34 · −0.27% under | 91.07 · +0.54% over | Kills it. The short was priced under a cost line at 90.58. The gap puts price above that line, which is the get-out, before the session opens. Highest signal tier on the page, gone on a print. |
| STM | 50.75 · +1.54% over | 51.26 · +2.56% | Nearly shuts it. Twenty-two cents of a 3.0% band left, ceiling at 51.48. It was comfortably inside on the close and it is now hanging on the edge, under a red light either way. |
| ALAB | 284.62 · +0.54% over | 287.12 · +1.42% | Holds it. Spends 2.50 of an 8.49-point window and leaves 4.46 above the print. The coiled spring survives the gap and still has no record. |
| GOOG | 330.48 · +1.82% over | 331.75 · +2.21% | Holds it. Still inside a 3.0% band with 2.56 of room, and the print sits fifteen cents over the trigger without closing there. |
| DIS | 105.86 · +0.47% over | 106.06 · +0.66% | No change. Twenty cents. The cross was already qualified and it stays qualified, 1.41 under the ceiling. |
One setup died overnight and one is holding by twenty-two cents. Check the gap against the band before you act on any row below.
Six instruments have a live window and a side. Three of them carry a size and only one is a full one. Every trigger is a four-hour close in the trade's direction and never a touch, and the get-out is always a close back through the cost line. The other six instruments sit in Watch and Avoid further down, and four of those are the indices.
| # | Name | Side | Entry · trigger · get out | Why it is on this list | Size |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ENS EnerSys | Long | +1.92% · $178.97 window $175.60–$180.87 trigger $180.60 · out $175.60 |
The only green light in the scan and the deepest positive record on the page. Compression is loading at 93%, the highest reading in the brief even though the terminal still calls it building rather than coiled, and the structure behind it is the strongest argument: 250 bars on one side of its own line with zero crossings. The cushion on that light is 17.2 points, which is the furthest any light in the brief sits from changing. Record +.17R on 124 signals · light green, size x1.0, holding, 17.2-point cushion · confirmation 6 across 2 timeframes · compression building at 93% · buyers and sellers at +7%, neutral · snapback reset 646 bars ago | Full |
| 2 | DIS Walt Disney | Long | Qualified · $105.86 window $105.36–$107.47 pre 106.06 · out $105.36 |
Snapback reset 67 bars ago, and the next freshest chart in the brief is 310 bars. That matters because it means the range here has been stretched and released recently rather than sitting quiet for a year. It is also the only instrument today carrying a signal tier and a publishable record at the same time. The half-size comes from the tape, not the setup: sellers run the most-traded price by 15%. Signal tier 2 · record +.07R on 137 signals · light amber, size x.5, holding, 6.1-point cushion · confirmation 5 across 2 timeframes · compression building at 79% · buyers and sellers at −15%, sell dominant · stability 1 of 2, the only one on the page | Half |
| 3 | GOOG Alphabet Class C | Long | +1.82% · $330.48 window $324.57–$334.31 trigger $331.60 · out $324.57 |
Coiled to 77% and sharing the cleanest structure on the page with EnerSys at 250 bars and no crossings. Fifty-two finished signals is a thin sample next to Disney's 137 and it clears the twenty-signal floor, so the rate publishes. The amber light is what caps the size. Compression coiled at 77% · record +.06R on 52 signals · light amber, size x.5, fading, 4.7-point cushion · confirmation 5 across 1 timeframe · buyers and sellers at +12%, neutral · snapback reset 714 bars ago | Half |
| 4 | ALAB Astera Labs | Long | +0.54% · $284.62 window $283.09–$291.58 trigger $288.00 · out $283.09 |
The loudest chart in the brief. It is the only instrument the terminal has labelled a coiled spring today, wound to 84%, with the separate institutional cost lines clustered at 81% and price sitting half a percent above them. The record is the entire problem and it has not moved: six finished signals of the twenty required, one open and seven fired, which is the identical line this brief published on it seven days ago. Setup COILED SPRING, the only one today · compression coiled at 84% · convergence active at 81% · confirmation 6 across 2 timeframes · record 6 of the 20 needed, 1 open, 7 fired · no light, sample still building | None |
| 5 | CRCL Circle Internet Group | Short | Invalidated pre-open · $91.07 pre was 90.34, cost line 90.58 out $90.58, already through |
Highest signal tier awarded anywhere today, given when the entry cross, the confirmation and the window all line up at once. The cross qualified on the close at 0.27% under the line, convergence was active at 77%, and then it gapped over the line before the open. That is the get-out, printed. The record field says four of twenty, so there was never a size on this row. Signal tier S1, the highest in the scan · convergence active at 77% · confirmation 4 across 2 timeframes · compression expanded at 37% · record 4 of the 20 needed, 0 open, 4 fired · no light, sample still building | None |
| 6 | STM STMicroelectronics | Long | +2.56% implied · $51.26 pre window $49.98–$51.48 shelf $51.54 sits outside · out $49.98 |
The tightest coiled reading in twelve charts at 88% with six readings across two timeframes, and it still cannot be bought. The weekly high shelf at 51.54 sits six cents above the ceiling of its own entry window, which means the breakout level and the last acceptable entry price are on opposite sides of the same line. Last Friday this chart was shut by a gap at 4.82%. It came back inside the band and the light stayed red. Compression coiled up at 88%, the highest coiled reading here · confirmation 6 across 2 timeframes · record −.01R on 123 signals · light red, no new entries, fading, −1.3-point cushion · buyers and sellers at +3%, neutral · snapback reset 989 bars ago | None |
Large money paid 175.60 for EnerSys across the current swing. It is a high-volatility instrument, so the terminal allows a new entry up to 3.0% above that price, which puts the ceiling here. The chart is at 178.97, sitting 1.92% over cost, with compression loading at 93% and a green light on the deepest positive record in the brief. That leaves 1.90 of usable window, and the prior-day high shelf sits at roughly 180.60, inside the ceiling by 27 cents. Close over that shelf and under this price and the best-permissioned setup on the page is enterable on a four-hour close. Print through 180.87 first and the setup is not weaker, it is simply unavailable, and the next thing worth waiting for is a pullback toward 175.60 or a fresh coil rather than a cheaper entry. The get-out never moves: a four-hour close back under 175.60. One caution. This is the only instrument in twelve charts that earns a full size today, so a shut window here is not one missed trade out of several. It is the whole book.
Every level, every execution block and all twelve terminal captures, with nothing held back and no gate anywhere on the page. Monday through Thursday the entry levels sit behind the member wall. Every Friday the whole thing ships open.
This one lives inside the top of its own window, so take the trigger close or take it inside the band underneath. Never on the touch, and never above the ceiling.
There is no trigger left to wait for on this one. The cross qualified inside the window on the close and the gap moved it twenty cents, so the only open question is size, and the volume answers it.
The pre-market print has already been above the trigger this morning without closing there. Wait for the four-hour close. A touch at 331.75 is not the same event as a bar that ends over 331.60.
Four indices, gold and dogecoin. All six are on red lights and all six print the harsher regime block, full risk-off at −3 of 10.5 with the bond-versus-stock correlation at stress recovery 0.65. None carries a size however the chart looks. The reset zone is the price at which a shut window reopens.
| Name | Distance from line | Window | Why not |
|---|---|---|---|
| XAUUSD | +1.93% over | Open by 2.98, ceiling 4,345.50 | Broadest confirmation anywhere in the brief, five readings across four timeframes, against the deepest sample here at 248 finished signals. That sample is negative at −.03R and the light is red. Coiled up at 69% with the cost line at 4,260.30 and the price three dollars under the last acceptable entry, which is a window that closes on almost any move. Nothing to do. |
| RUSSELL | −1.65% under | Open, floor 2,897.85 | The index that actually broke. Bearish bias against a multi-bar structure still labelled bull, price at 2,908.2 with 10.35 points to the floor of the short window, and the weakest confirmation in the brief at minus one across a single timeframe. Red light on −.03R over 52 signals with a −3.6-point cushion. Compression is almost nonexistent at 6%, so there is no stored energy to release either way. |
| NAS100 | −0.21% under | Open, floor 28,757.93 | Closest index to its own cost line at 29,344.82, a fifth of a percent under it, and the cost lines themselves are diverged 43% so that line is thinner than usual. The record across 181 finished signals is exactly zero, the deepest index sample in the brief and the flattest. It crosses its own anchor every 11.4 bars with 21 crossings, the choppiest structure on the page, which is what a zero record looks like from the inside. |
| SP500 | +1.51% over | Open, ceiling 7,680.37 | Inside its window with 36.90 points of room above 7,643.47, and the confirmation reading is minus one, the worst number on the page and the only negative one. Thirty finished signals at −.02R is the shallowest published sample in the brief and it barely clears the twenty-signal floor. Compression expanded at 22%. |
| US30 | +0.41% over | Open, ceiling 53,164.74 | Closest long index to its cost line at 52,122.30, with 828 points of window above it and nothing to spend it on. Zero confirmation across two timeframes, compression expanded at 21%, red light on −.03R over 82 signals and a −2.7-point cushion. Good location, no permission, no energy. |
| DOGE | +0.17% over | Open, ceiling 0.08631 | Tightest institutional cluster in the brief, convergence active at 91%, and price is 0.17% above it at 0.08394, the closest any chart here sits to its own cost line. Then the rest of the panel: confirmation of one, compression expanded at zero percent, and a record of exactly .00R over 148 signals. Perfect location, no compression, no edge, and a −0.4-point cushion on a red light. Fresh capital waits for a coil rather than a cheaper entry. |
The remaining nine captures, unmodified. Read the four index panels and the gold and dogecoin panels against the chip bar at the top of this page: those six print full risk-off at −3 of 10.5 with all three legs down, the six US-listed single names print speculative at −2 with the risk leg on, and that split is the second most important thing in the brief.

Cost line (the anchor) · the volume-weighted price large money actually paid over the current swing. Everything in this brief is measured as distance from it, and that distance is what "deviation" means. Buy near it and you are buying where they bought. Buy far above it and you are handing them the profit. Entry window · how far from the cost line a new entry can still be sensibly priced. The width depends on the instrument's own volatility tier: two percent for indices and large caps, three percent for mid-range names, three to five for the high-volatility list. Open means you are inside it and waiting on the cross. Qualified means the cross has already printed inside it. Shut means the move has run and you wait for a pullback or a fresh coil. Every trigger in this brief is a four-hour close, in the trade's direction, never a touch. Implied deviation · where a pre-market price sits relative to the cost line, worked out from the two figures the terminal publishes on the close, its last price and its deviation, plus the terminal's own pre-market print. The terminal does not print this field. It is in the brief because a gap can open or shut a window before the session starts, and it ended one setup outright this morning. Compression · how tightly the range has wound, from 0 to 100%. Building means it is loading. Coiled means it is nearly full, and coiled spring is the terminal's own label for the tightest version. High compression means the next move should be a big one, says nothing about direction, and never overrides a shut window or a red light. Confirmation · how many independent readings agree, and across how many timeframes. Higher on both counts is better, and three timeframes at 8 beats one timeframe at 10. A negative score means the supporting readings point the other way from the bias. Buyer or seller dominance · which side is actually transacting at the most-traded price, as a percentage skew. Neutral means the two sides are matched and the volume is telling you nothing about direction. Convergence · how tightly the separate institutional cost lines have clustered. High convergence means several cohorts of large money paid roughly the same price, so the line underneath is thicker than usual. Diverged means the opposite, and a diverged line is a thinner one to lean on. Snapback reset · how long since price pushed through the second deviation band and reclaimed it. A fresh reset means the range has recently been stretched and released; an old one means the current structure has been quiet for a long time. Signal tier · awarded when the entry cross, the confirmation and the window all line up at once. Two names carry one today and ten do not. Record · the average result per signal in units of risk, where being stopped out is exactly −1.00. Always published with the number of finished signals behind it, and never published at all below 20 of them. It is in-sample, calculated over the same history the settings were chosen on, so read it as a description of the past and not a forecast. Trend light and cushion · green means full size, amber means half, red means no new entry however good the chart looks, and unproven means the sample is still being built. The cushion is how far the light is from changing, and a negative cushion means it has already changed against you.
Readings captured Friday 11 September 2026, 11:21–11:39 CEST, from the IVT v14 terminal, on four-hour bars that had not yet closed. That is why every trigger here is a close and not a touch, and it matters more than usual today: the August consumer price index is released at 08:30 Eastern, and one of the twelve instruments had its setup invalidated by a pre-market gap before anyone could act on last night's reading.
The regime block differs across the captures in this brief. The six US-listed single names print Composite −2 of 10.5 under a speculative flow, with the risk leg on, the macro bonus at −1 and the bond-versus-equity correlation normal at 0.34. The six round-the-clock instruments, the four index CFDs plus gold and dogecoin, print −3 of 10.5 under full risk-off, all three legs down, the macro bonus at −3 and the correlation at stress recovery 0.65. This is the same split the brief published yesterday and it comes from the bar clock rather than the capture time: the 24-hour feeds carry a weekend-to-Friday history and the equity panels run on the US cash session. The chip bar carries the first reading because the Board is made of US-listed names; the second is visible on those six captures. Neither has been edited.
Records are in-sample and forecast nothing. No rate is published on fewer than twenty finished signals, and the sample size is printed beside every one. Astera Labs at six signals and Circle at four are reported as counts rather than rates. Cost lines, entry windows and implied pre-market deviations are derived from the percentage distances the terminal publishes rather than read off it directly, so treat them as accurate to the nearest cent or index point; trigger levels are set at the nearest structural shelf and are ours, not the terminal's. Index levels come from cash CFD feeds and will differ from your own index or futures contract, which is why the S&P reading here sits above Thursday's cash close. Breadth figures are last night's close across the Cantillon scan universe rather than the S&P 500. No level here is meant to survive a CPI print.
