The Fed raised rates for the first time in three years and the price large money paid across the current S&P swing did not move: 7,534 yesterday, 7,533 the day before. Two halves today. Buy Nvidia on a dip back to cost, sell EnerSys on a rally up to it. Nothing carries full size.
The Federal Reserve raised its target range a quarter point to 3.75 to 4.00%, and the vote was unanimous. Warsh put it plainly: inflation is too high and has been for too long, and the standard for believing it is falling fast enough has not been satisfied. Twelve of eighteen members now pencil in one more hike before year-end and four expect two. The tape read it as relief. The S&P closed up 0.3%, the Nasdaq up 0.7%, the ten-year fell four basis points and the thirty-year fell five. Stocks up and the long end down is a market pricing certainty, not pain.
Full risk-off, unchanged through the hike, with money, equities and risk appetite all switched off, so every size below is a chart trade taken against the regime. The one caveat: the fear layer sits in its neutral band at 17, which is not what a market in trouble looks like.
Breadth runs today because it contradicts the price hold. Read off the chart panel at this morning’s capture.
| Regime | Score | Trend | Over 50-day | Over 200-day | Oscillator | Divergence |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Diverging | −5 / 8 | −2 | 30.8% | 50.1% | −46.9 | Clean |
Under a third of names hold their fifty-day and the two-hundred-day share sits exactly on half. The index closed up on the hike. Those two facts do not belong to the same market, and when they disagree the index is the one being carried.
Nineteen charts. No full size, five halves, fourteen with nothing. Every entry today sits in the slice of the band nearest the cost line. The fill we want is a four-hour bar that wicks into that slice and closes back out in the trade’s direction. A price in the middle of the band is not an entry, and neither is an overnight quote.
| # | Name | Side | Entry · trigger · get out | What the terminal reads | Size |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | NVDA Nvidia | Long | 🔒 Members | Best result per signal in the brief and the second widest cushion. Its anchor is trending and has been crossed twice, so the line is being respected. Against it: confirmation runs two readings against the direction on a single clock. A half, on a dip that holds.Record +.12R on 40 signals, band −.04R to +.28R · minus two readings across one timeframe · window open, cross still pending · light AMBER, half, holding, 12.4-point cushion · cost lines diverged 23% · compression expanded at 28% · anchor trending, 2 crossings | Half |
| 2 | ENS EnerSys | Short | 🔒 Members | The cleanest structure anywhere in this scan: one crossing in 125 bars a side. Its result band starts at zero and never goes negative, which only one other row can say. The widest cushion in the brief. Price sits under the line, so this is sold into strength.Record +.08R on 65 signals, band .00R to +.17R · minus two readings across two timeframes · window open, cross still pending · light AMBER, half, holding, 13.3-point cushion · compression expanded at 73% · anchor trending, 1 crossing | Half |
| 3 | DG Dollar General | Short | 🔒 Members | The only window that qualified outright today, and the only sized row carrying a signal tier. The overnight quote barely moved, so the setup is intact into the open. Its anchor is the choppiest on the board.Record +.07R on 53 signals, band −.08R to +.21R · signal tier 2 · three readings across three timeframes · window QUALIFIED · light AMBER, half, fading, 7.1-point cushion · compression expanded at 42% · anchor choppy, 17 crossings | Half |
| 4 | IBM IBM | Short | 🔒 Members | A positive record on the deepest equity sample in the brief, with sellers controlling the most-traded price. The catch is distance: price sits near the far edge of its band, so the entry is a long way above. A half only if it travels.Record +.04R on 98 signals, band −.05R to +.13R · zero readings across three timeframes · sellers dominant by 16% · cost lines diverged 51% · window open, cross still pending · light AMBER, half, holding, 5.9-point cushion · compression expanded at 46% · anchor mixed, 6 crossings | Half |
| 5 | XAUUSD Gold spot | Long | 🔒 Members | The deepest sample in the brief by a distance, on a thin positive record and a fading light. Gold added half a percent on the hike and now trades well above its cost line. The half exists only if it comes back down.Record +.04R on 142 signals, band −.04R to +.12R · two readings across two timeframes · window open, cross still pending · light AMBER, half, fading, 5.5-point cushion · compression building at 82% · anchor mixed, 9 crossings | Half |
| 6 | CDE Coeur Mining | Watch | 🔒 Members | The loudest panel in the scan and the clearest example of why the light exists. Highest signal tier, widest agreement, institutional cluster active, window qualified. The record is negative and the anchor has been crossed twenty-three times. Size is zero.Record −.05R on 56 signals, band −.16R to +.05R · signal tier 3 · five readings across four timeframes · convergence ACTIVE at 79% · window QUALIFIED · light RED, improving, −8.6-point cushion · anchor choppy, 23 crossings | No size |
| 7 | SPGI S&P Global | Watch | 🔒 Members | The tightest institutional cluster in the brief at 80% and the most compressed name on the page. Also the worst record of any row here. A good-looking chart the framework will not pay for.Record −.12R on 69 signals · two readings across three timeframes · convergence ACTIVE at 80% · compression expanded at 11% · window open, cross still pending · light RED, holding · anchor choppy, 12 crossings | No size |
| 8 | TM Toyota Motor | Watch | 🔒 Members | Sellers in control by seventeen percent and a red light six tenths of a point from changing. It was a long on the 1 September break at 197.50 in the members chat. It is not one now.Record +.01R on 62 signals, band −.13R to +.14R · one reading across three timeframes · sellers dominant by 17% · window open, cross still pending · light RED, holding, 0.7-point cushion · anchor mixed, 7 crossings | No size |
If you watch one, watch ENS. Nvidia pays more per signal, +.12R against +.08R, but on 40 signals against 65, and its band dips below zero where EnerSys’s starts at it. EnerSys also has an anchor crossed once in 125 bars a side against Nvidia’s twice, which is the difference between a line the market respects and a line it happens to be near.
The price large money paid across the current S&P swing. It sat at 7,533 on Wednesday morning, before the first Fed hike in three years, and it sits at 7,534 now. One point. The entry window above it runs to 7,684 and this morning’s print is 90 points above the line, inside that window. The light behind the index is red and improving at −12.2, the widest deficit on the page. A four-hour close under 7,534 removes the structure that just absorbed a rate rise. A close that holds above it says the hike is priced.

Cost line (the anchor) · the volume-weighted price large money paid over the current swing. Every distance in this brief is measured from it. Entry window · how far from the cost line a new entry can still be priced: two percent for indices and large caps, three for mid-range names, three to five for high-volatility names. Open means price is inside it and the cross is pending. Qualified means the cross printed inside it. Shut means the move has run. Compression · how tightly the range has wound, from 0 to 100%. Coiled means nearly full. It says a move is loading, never which way, and it never overrides a shut window or a red light. Confirmation · how many independent readings agree, and on how many timeframes. A negative score means the readings disagree with the stated direction. Record · the average result per signal in units of risk, where a full stop is −1.00, with its range and the number of finished signals behind it. Never published below 20 signals. It is in-sample: a description of the past, not a forecast. Trend light · green is full size, amber is half, red is no new entry, unproven means the sample is still building. The cushion is how far the light sits from changing.
Every reading was taken from the IVT v14.4 terminal between 09:49 and 09:58 CEST on Wednesday 16 September 2026, four-hour timeframe throughout. Nothing here resolves on a touch or a pre-market quote, only on a completed four-hour close. Cost lines are derived from the deviation the terminal publishes. Entry slices and triggers are ours, not the terminal’s. Index and metals levels come from CFD feeds and will differ from your own futures or cash contract. Records are in-sample and forecast nothing, and no rate is published under twenty signals. Breadth was generated at 23:01 UTC on Tuesday across the Cantillon coverage universe.
