Ten of the fifteen charts scanned this morning carry a red light, and three of the four loudest readings on the page carry no size at all. Qualcomm is the only instrument here whose record band sits entirely above zero, at +.10R across 103 finished signals, and it is the only full size in the brief. Two charts armed overnight and neither of them is it. The number that decides the session is 192.04.
The Bank of Japan raised its policy rate a quarter point to 1.25% this morning, the highest in thirty-one years, on a split vote that sent the yen lower. It lands forty-eight hours after the Federal Reserve's own quarter point to 3.75 to 4.00%, the first US increase in over three years, where Chair Kevin Warsh said inflation remains the central problem and sixteen of eighteen policymakers pencilled in at least one more before year-end. Two of the world's three largest central banks tightened inside two days, and Japanese core inflation held near target through August while firms kept passing food and grocery costs through. That is the outside view of a liquidity layer that has been switched off on every chart in this brief.
All three legs are down and the macro tailwind is at its floor, so nothing on this page is sized off the regime and every position below is a chart trade taken against it. Two things argue with that score and both are worth holding. Fear is not priced: the VIX sits at 18 in the neutral band, and the bond-versus-stock correlation has come up out of stress to 0.45, which is the one reading in the brief that improved. And the S&P's own cost line has not moved. It read 7,534 the day before the Fed hiked and it reads 7,534 this morning, with price 125.83 above it and 24.86 of unusable window left overhead. Participation is where the damage shows: 30.8% of the scan universe is above its fifty-day line against 50.3% above the two-hundred, so the selling has gone into trend followers rather than the trend.
Eight instruments have a side and a live window. Three carry a size and only one is full. Every trigger is a four-hour close in the trade's direction and never a touch, and the get-out is always a close back through the cost line. The seven remaining instruments sit in Watch and Avoid below, and four of those are the indices.
| # | Name | Side | Entry · trigger · get out | Why it is on this list | Size |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | QCOM Qualcomm | Short | −1.68% · $188.81 window $186.28–$192.04 trigger close under $192.04 · out $192.04 |
The only green light in the scan, and the only record in the brief whose range never touches zero. Of the 3.23 back to the cost line, 1.42 has already printed in the pre-market at 190.23. The confirmation is the argument against it and the brief is not hiding it: zero readings across three timeframes, on cost lines that are 66% diverged. This is a location trade and a record trade, not a confirmation trade. Record +.10R on 103 signals, band +.01 to +.20 · light green, size x1.0, fading, 11.4-point cushion · confirmation 0 across 3 timeframes · compression expanded at 26% · cost lines diverged 66% · buyers and sellers at −6%, neutral · pre-market 190.23, implied −0.94% | Full |
| 2 | IBM International Business Machines | Short | −2.80% · $237.75 window $237.26–$244.60 49 cents left · out $244.60 |
Second-deepest sample on the page and it is positive, with the multi-bar structure labelled bear underneath a bearish bias, which is the agreement the indices do not have. Sellers run the most-traded price by 16%. The window is the whole problem: 2.8 of a 3.0% band is spent, leaving 49 cents before a new entry stops being sensibly priced, and the pre-market print moves it by three cents. Record +.04R on 98 signals, band −.05 to +.13 · light amber, size x.5, holding, 5.9-point cushion · confirmation 2 across 3 timeframes · compression expanded at 52% · cost lines diverged 41% · buyers and sellers at −16%, sell dominant · pre-market 237.78 | Half |
| 3 | DG Dollar General | Long | Qualified · $125.01 window $124.97–$128.72 3.71 of room · out $124.97 |
One of two charts where the cross has actually printed rather than merely being available, and the only bullish one. Price sits three hundredths of a percent over the cost line with the whole window ahead of it, on a record that is positive across 53 signals. Then the structure, which is why this is a half and not a full: 18 crossings of its own line at one every 13.2 bars, and a band that runs from −.08 to +.21. Record +.07R on 53 signals, band −.08 to +.21 · light amber, size x.5, fading, 7.1-point cushion · confirmation 1 across 3 timeframes · compression expanded at 51% · buyers and sellers at +9%, neutral · anchor hold choppy, 13.2 bars per side, 18 crossings · overnight 124.99 | Half |
| 4 | VFF Village Farms International | Short | Qualified · $2.83 window $2.7462–$2.8311 8.4 cents of room · out $2.8311 |
The only signal tier handed out in fifteen charts, and the second of the two crosses that printed, four hundredths of a percent under the cost line with a timeframe added. Sellers run the most-traded price by 17% and the multi-bar structure agrees with the bias. The record is why there is no size: seventeen finished signals of the twenty required, with none open. It is the closest any unproven chart in this brief has come to publishing a number. Signal tier 2, the only one today · record 17 of the 20 needed, 0 open, 17 fired · no light, sample still building · confirmation −1 across 3 timeframes · compression expanded at 49% · buyers and sellers at −17%, sell dominant · down 2.25% on the session | None |
| 5 | TM Toyota Motor | Short | −0.70% · $193.98 window $191.44–$195.35 2.54 of room · out $195.35 |
The tightest institutional cluster anywhere in the brief, active at 91%, with a convergence band drawn straight across the current price and sellers ahead by 17%. Everything about the location is right and the permission is not there. The light is red with a cushion of 0.6, which means it is closer to changing than any other red light on the page, in either direction. Record +.01R on 62 signals, band −.13 to +.14 · light red, no new entries, holding, 0.7-point cushion · convergence active at 91% · confirmation 1 across 2 timeframes · compression expanded at 41% · buyers and sellers at −17%, sell dominant · pre-market 193.91 | None |
| 6 | SHOP Shopify | Short | −0.01% · $128.57 window $124.73–$128.58 3.84 of room · out $128.58 |
Physically the closest chart to its own cost line today, one hundredth of a percent under it, and it did not arm. That is the distinction the Board is built on: distance does not qualify a chart, a printed cross does, and Shopify's window is open with the cross still to come. Behind it is the thinnest evidence on the page. Eleven finished signals, a confirmation score of zero off a single timeframe, and 12 crossings of its own line. Record 11 of the 20 needed, 1 open, 12 fired · no light, sample still building · confirmation 0 across 1 timeframe · compression expanded at 36% · cost lines diverged 53% · buyers and sellers at +8%, neutral · anchor hold choppy, 19.2 bars per side, 12 crossings | None |
| 7 | PH Parker-Hannifin | Long | +1.05% · $925.53 window $915.91–$934.23 8.70 of room · out $915.91 |
Best confirmation of any single name here, three readings across three timeframes, on the cleanest long structure in the brief at 50 bars per side and four crossings. It is inside its window with 8.70 above it. The record is the flattest thing in the scan, exactly zero across 70 finished signals, and the light is red with six tenths of a point of cushion. Good location, good structure, no permission and no edge. Record +.00R on 70 signals, band −.11 to +.12 · light red, no new entries, holding, 0.6-point cushion · confirmation 3 across 3 timeframes · compression expanded at 50% · buyers and sellers at −2%, neutral · anchor hold trending, 50 bars per side, 4 crossings | None |
| 8 | SPCX Space Exploration Technologies | Long | Shut by 20 cents · $154.81 ceiling $154.61, cost line $150.11 pre 155.91 · implied +3.86% |
The loudest chart in the brief and the one with the least behind it. It is the only instrument carrying a compression reading of 100%, with buyers running the most-traded price by 15%, and price finished twenty cents above the last acceptable entry. The pre-market print takes it further out, not back in. There is no record at all here and no light: the terminal cannot even hold an anchor yet, needing 250 bars and having four. Compression coiled at 100%, the only maximum reading today · no record, no light, anchor still building and needs 250 bars · confirmation 3 across 2 timeframes · buyers and sellers at +15%, buy dominant · cost lines diverged 19% · snapback reset 74 bars ago, the freshest in the brief | None |
This is the volume-weighted price large money paid for Qualcomm across the current swing. The chart is at 188.81 and the pre-market print is 190.23, so price is walking back up toward it rather than away. That direction is the setup: on a bearish bias, a short is priced near the cost line and never far below it, and the terminal allows a new entry anywhere from 186.28 up to this level. Close a four-hour bar back under 192.04 after touching it and the only full size in fifteen charts is live. Close a four-hour bar above it and the trade is not weaker, it is cancelled, because that close is also the get-out. Two facts make this the number rather than any other level in the brief. It governs the only green light in the scan, and it governs the only record here whose range, +.01 to +.20 across 103 finished signals, never touches zero. Everything else on the page is either red-lighted, unproven, or already outside its own window. One caution that belongs next to the level and not in a footnote: the confirmation score behind this trade is zero across three timeframes, and the cost lines it is measured from are 66% diverged, so the line is thinner than the record makes it sound.
Every level, every execution block and all fifteen terminal captures, with nothing held back and no gate anywhere on the page. Monday through Thursday the entry levels sit behind the member wall. Every Friday the whole thing ships open.
Do not sell this here. The trade is the return to the cost line and the close back under it, which means the rally you are watching this morning is the setup rather than the thing that breaks it.
There is almost no window left on this one, so the question is not whether the setup is good. It is whether price gives back enough of the move to make a new entry sensibly priced before the band runs out.
Nothing to wait for here. The cross printed inside the window and added a timeframe, so this row is about size rather than timing, and the structure is what caps it.
Four indices and three single names, none of them tradeable this morning. Three of the seven are outside their own entry windows and the other four are red-lighted inside them.
| Name | Distance from cost | Window | Why there is nothing to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| NDX | +2.64% over | Shut by 183.61, ceiling 29,263.37 | Broadest confirmation in the brief by a distance, seven readings across two timeframes, coiled to 78%, and it cannot be bought at any size. Price finished at 29,446.98 against a cost line of 28,689.57, which is 183.61 points past the last acceptable entry. Behind the loudest confirmation on the page sits a record of eleven finished signals of the twenty needed. Fresh capital waits for a pullback toward the cost line or a fresh coil. |
| RUSSELL | −3.04% under | Shut by 30.84, floor 2,906.24 | The only live snapback signal in fifteen charts, active across two timeframes after price pushed through the lower band and reclaimed it, and the index is 30.84 outside its own short window at 2,875.40. Compression is building at 78%, the second-highest reading here. Red light on −.05R over 35 finished signals with a −5.7-point cushion. The signal that fired is the one you cannot price. |
| SP500 | +1.67% over | Open, ceiling 7,685.21 | The confirmation reading is minus one, the worst on the page alongside two others, and 26 finished signals at −.12R is the shallowest published sample in the brief. The light is red but improving, the only cushion here moving the right way. |
| US30 | −1.35% under | Open, floor 51,466.64 | The only index whose bias and window are both pointing down with room to work, 341.36 points above the floor at 51,808 against a cost line of 52,517. Compression building at 66%. The light is red and fading on −.10R over 46 finished signals with a −9.9-point cushion, so the direction is right and the permission is not. Good location, no permission. |
| SPGI | −1.83% under | Open, floor 399.41 | Bearish bias, bear structure and 4.82 of usable window under 404.23, with the cost line at 411.77. Then the two numbers that end it: compression at 9%, the lowest reading in fifteen charts, and a record of −.12R over 69 finished signals with a −12.1-point cushion. Nothing stored to release and the worst published record on the page. |
| ROK | −0.60% under | Open, floor 399.99 | Close to the cost line at 412.36 with 9.90 of window under 409.89, and a confirmation score of minus one against the bias. The cushion is −11.1 points, which is the furthest any light in this brief sits on the wrong side of changing. Record −.10R over 66 finished signals. The location is fine and everything measuring it disagrees. |
| DNLI | +0.80% over | Open by 0.30, ceiling 20.55 | Bullish with the cross available at 20.11, and the pre-market at 20.25 spends half the remaining window before the open, leaving 0.30 to the ceiling. Compression is the second-lowest in the brief at 25%. Red light and fading on −.03R over 33 finished signals with a −3.9-point cushion. A window this thin under a red light is not a trade. |
The remaining twelve captures, unmodified. Read every panel against the same regime block: unlike last Friday, all fifteen charts this morning print the identical reading, full risk-off at −3 of 10.5 with all three legs down, so there is no split to reconcile and no softer version of the score anywhere on the page.

Cost line (the anchor) · the volume-weighted price large money actually paid over the current swing. Everything in this brief is measured as distance from it, and that distance is what "deviation" means. Sell near it on a short and you are selling where they sold. Chase far from it and you are handing them the difference. Entry window · how far from the cost line a new entry can still be sensibly priced. The width depends on the instrument's own volatility tier: two percent for indices and large caps, three percent for mid-range names, three to five for the high-volatility list. Qualified means the cross has printed inside the window and the chart is armed now. Open means you are inside the window with the cross still to come, which is not the same thing: Shopify sits one hundredth of a percent from its cost line this morning and has not armed, while Dollar General sits three hundredths away and has. Distance does not qualify a chart. A printed cross does. Shut means the move has run and you wait for a pullback or a fresh coil. Every trigger in this brief is a four-hour close, in the trade's direction, never a touch. Implied deviation · where a pre-market price sits relative to the cost line, worked out from the two figures the terminal publishes on the close, its last price and its deviation, plus the terminal's own pre-market print. The terminal does not print this field. It is here because a gap can open or shut a window before the session starts. Compression · how tightly the range has wound, from 0 to 100%. Building means it is loading, coiled means it is nearly full, and 100% is the maximum the terminal awards. High compression means the next move should be a big one, says nothing about direction, and never overrides a shut window or a red light. Confirmation · how many independent readings agree, and across how many timeframes. Higher on both counts is better, and three timeframes at 3 is a broader statement than one timeframe at 7. A negative score means the supporting readings point the other way from the bias. Buyer or seller dominance · which side is actually transacting at the most-traded price, as a percentage skew. Neutral means the two sides are matched and the volume is telling you nothing about direction. Convergence · how tightly the separate institutional cost lines have clustered. High convergence means several cohorts of large money paid roughly the same price, so the line underneath is thicker than usual. Diverged means the opposite, and a diverged line is a thinner one to lean on. Qualcomm's is 66% diverged today, which is why its record rather than its structure is doing the work. Snapback reset · how long since price pushed through the second deviation band and reclaimed it. A fresh reset means the range has recently been stretched and released; an old one means the structure has been quiet for a long time. When it reads active rather than a bar count, the signal is live now. Signal tier · awarded when the entry cross, the confirmation and the window all line up at once. One name carries one today and fourteen do not. Record · the average result per signal in units of risk, where being stopped out is exactly −1.00, published with a range showing how much the number could move. Always published with the number of finished signals behind it, and never published at all below 20 of them. Village Farms at seventeen, Shopify at eleven and the Nasdaq 100 at eleven are reported as counts rather than rates for that reason. It is in-sample, calculated over the same history the settings were chosen on, so read it as a description of the past and not a forecast. Trend light and cushion · green means full size, amber means half, red means no new entry however good the chart looks, and unproven means the sample is still being built. The cushion is how far the light is from changing, a negative cushion means it has already changed against you, and fading means it is moving toward a worse light while holding means it is not.
Readings captured Friday 18 September 2026, from the IVT v14.4 terminal, on four-hour bars that had not yet closed. That is why every trigger here is a close and not a touch. Two of the fifteen captures, Dollar General and S&P Global, were taken at 07:32 CEST and the other thirteen between 11:34 and 11:39 CEST, so those two carry an overnight print rather than a pre-market one.
The regime block is identical across all fifteen captures this morning: full risk-off, Composite −3 of 10.5, all three legs down, macro bonus −3, VIX layer neutral at 18 and the bond-versus-equity correlation in stress recovery between 0.40 and 0.46. The breadth panels are not identical and the brief does not pretend otherwise. The three index captures print a neutral breadth regime at −2 of 8 with a positive McClellan reading near +30, while the twelve single-name captures print diverging at −5 of 8 with McClellan at −32.1. Same session, opposite signs, different universes underneath. Only the two fields that agree on every capture are quoted above: 30.8% above the fifty-day line and 50.3% above the two-hundred.
Records are in-sample and forecast nothing. No rate is published on fewer than twenty finished signals, and the sample size is printed beside every one. Cost lines, entry windows and implied pre-market deviations are derived from the percentage distances the terminal publishes rather than read off it directly, so treat them as accurate to the nearest cent or index point. Index levels come from cash CFD feeds and will differ from your own index or futures contract, which is why the S&P reading here sits above Thursday's cash close of 7,637. Breadth figures are last night's close across the Cantillon scan universe rather than the S&P 500. The Bank of Japan decision landed while these captures were being taken and no level here was measured after Governor Ueda's press conference.
